This morning my wife and I went to a birthday party for her cousin (who celebrated her 84th birthday). Marsha Perelmuter Bornstein was also in attendance. Then this afternoon we went for a bicycle ride. We rode the Riverwalk and during the ride we met Evie Ropke Whitworth who was also biking the Riverwalk. Small world isn't it.

Since the reunion, I've talked to Bruce Kranz a number of times. When we were growing up our families were very good friends but I had not talked to Bruce in 30 years, till the reunion. We now talk a couple of times a month.

I also am in contact with Joyce Baker. We email and have had a video chat using SKYPE. What fun.

The reunion certainly has affected my life. If, because of the reunion, you now are in contact with friends from high school whom you hadn't seen in many years why not share your experience with your classmates. Email me and I'll post your blog entry here.

As I've said other places on this web page, in my opinion, the reunion was fantastic. It was great seeing classmates I was friends with in high school and whom I haven't seen since.

Over the years I've maintained friendships with Stuart Robenson (Louisville) and Ken Silverstein (Florida). From time to time I've also seen around town Judy Rose, Marvin O'Koon, David Davis, and Bruce Kranz. (After seeing how much we all have changed I'm sure I've seen others of you around town but we didn't recognize one another.)

Ken Silverstein stayed at my house for the reunion—it was a joy to have him here and to catch up on old times.

But I have to confess, the best part of the reunion for me was making contact with and seeing Joyce Baker. Joyce and I were friends since 7th grade and she broke my heart when she got married right after high school, but I survived! :-)

When I joined the reunion committee in April I was given a list of classmates and their email addresses. I emailed Joyce and we began corresponding and catching up on each others lives. Thursday before the reunion Joyce came to my house and spent the afternoon and evening with Sherry (my wife), Ken, and me. It was a great day and we had a great time.

The entire weekend was FANTASTIC--wonderful, fun, awesome, exciting, exhilerating and heartwarming.

Honestly, I was so touched that everyone was so genuinely effusive in their praise of the entire reunion weekend.

The weekend was a PERFECT TEN! Plus, Diane came! Now that was cool!

I've been smiling ever since the weekend began!

All you guys on the committee are THE BEST! I had so much fun!

It WAS an incredible weekend. It took me until today to reenter the real world once again. Just emotionally overwhelmed, still pondering all of the conversations, faces, flashbacks and blessings that filled and surrounded us this past weekend and during the year of planning.

It was just all great fun and probably more so because of the anticipations that went hand in hand with the planning from our committee.

The one comment that was made as people were leaving was "I will see you in 5 years and this was wonderful." I look forward to seeing everyone at Harry's and just like Harry there was a let down for me as well and today I am feeling much better with a great a bit more energy.

Please convey to the entire committee my thanks and praise for the reunion. Everything was done perfectly. The food and drinks were delicious. The website is great. The booklet is priceless. I can't think of what you all could have done better.

I was talking to Lawrence Branch as I was leaving and he said that all you all had to do now was figure out how to top this one with the 50th. I told him and I would like you to tell the whole committee don't do anything differently. All people want to do is eat, drink, yak, and listen to music.

My wife, Lyndey also enjoyed herself. She even met some Waggener grads in the crowd.

Thanks again for your perseverance and whatever else it took to pull this off. And a special thanks to Brenda Townes the non-chairperson.

Hi, my friends,

I am so sorry that I did not make the reunion this year, but I almost feel like a part of it because of the wonderful web site. The web site is outstanding, and thank you for posting pics of Friday night's reception for those of us not in attendance. I had a really hard time identifying many of my classmates. You probably wouldn't recognize me either! 45 years does change us.

The pics around the necks helped some, for the few I could see. All of you looked great! At any rate, I did get to talk to a few of you on a cell phone, and that was great. I would love to hear from more of you.

Wish I could have been there. I think it would be a great idea to keep the web site up for a while so that we can see the blogs.
