After graduating from college, I taught for a few years in Mayfield, Ky. and then went to Murray State, where I got my MA in English.

I moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1971 and have been here ever since. I have an older home in Richmond, which I have spent a good deal of time renovating.

I married, had one son named Neal, and divorced after many years. Neal is a professional musician in New York City, where he plays bass with The Big Apple Circus. He also plays jazz and rock and has two CD's out.

I have retired from teaching and spend my time in investment real estate, working out, gardening, working some with the school system, and doing occasional office work for a friend in her orthopedic pediatric surgical practice. I take courses at a local community college.

I have a cottage on Lake Gaston on the North Carolina/Virginia border where I relax, boat, fish, and enjoy my friends. I go to NYC pretty often to visit my son, 28, and his wife. Grandchildren can't be far behind. I take a big trip every year. This October I am going to St. Bart's for a birthday party.

I would love to hear from friends from Louisville anytime.

I graduated from Vanderbilt University and married Lynn Gaarden from Kensington, Maryland in 1967. Graduated from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta and moved to Savannah in 1970 to practice law from 1970 to 2001.

Began part time teaching at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah in 1996, which led to full time position at Savannah Christian Preparatory School in 2001, teaching a variety of subjects (primarily American government), and coaching girls basketball and now cross country and track. This teaching experience is wonderful! I get more job satisfaction in one day at school than I got in a month during the last years of law practice.

Lynn is a school nurse at a Montessori public school in Savannah. She received her BS degree in nursing from Vandy, which is where we met.

Lynn and I have two children, Jeff in Seattle, with two granddaughters, and Sarah living in Atlanta.

We have been long time members of a Lutheran church in Savannah. We live in mid-town Savannah in the same house for 35 years.

School memories: Most memorable teacher for me-Byron Boyer. What a sport! Happy Trig Parties and other reasons for parties, and keeping a "Spartan atmosphere" in the room by keeping the temperature at about 60 degrees!

I was on the marriage track so after graduation I attended business college, went to work and moved to Chicago while my husband attended optometry school. It was there that our first child was born. We later moved to Flint, Michigan then back to Louisville in 1971 when my husband opened his optometry practice

After our second child was born, I did the stay-at-home mom thing, attending Bellarmine College and U of L part-time and doing volunteer work in my free time. It was my volunteer work with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Project that led to a staff position and eventually my role as executive director of CASA. I remained with them until retiring in 2004.

Now, I do contract work for the National CASA Association, and currently own a jewelry gallery called Sterling Silhouettes. My husband is still in practice. We love spending time with our grandchildren. Reading and traveling anywhere there is water nearby is also a favorite pastime.

After Seneca I received a BA from Duke where I married George who was getting a law degree. Facing the Viet Nam draft, George entered the Army JAG as a Captain and served almost four years in the Pentagon Office of the Judge Advocate General.

I took advantage of George's time at the Pentagon to get my MA at A.U. (Thought I might teach Poli Sci some day but ended up in this real estate stuff instead). And while George was stationed there we had our first child, born at Walter Reed in DC in 1972. He's a lawyer in the DC area with degrees from Wake Forest and American.

After the service George practiced law in Columbus OH before we joined his parents in a real estate business in his hometown of Parkersburg WV.

Our daughter, Kelly, was born in 1978. She's a Certified Financial Analyst in Manhattan after graduating from Harvard, her father's Alma Mater.

We stay busy with a 40 unit townhouse complex but prefer the golf course or the tennis courts or hiking trips here and abroad.

I did not attend college like many of my classmates, when I got out of school I went right to work at Freuhauf Trailer Co. for about 6 months, got laid off, ended up working in a gas station until I married Bev Brown from Fern Creek {class of 64} in 1965.

In that same year I went to work at GE on the assembly line until 1969 when I took a job with a local Refrigeration contractor. I worked my way up from helper to lead man and then became manager of Installation and Service Departments.

In 1980 I started my own business of manufacturing Walk-in Coolers & Freezers used in the food service industry.

In 2001 I sold the business and retired for a short time. The first year of my retirement we traveled the country in our Motorhome. The next year I began to help my second daughter’s husband start an excavating company and I am still at it.

We are blessed to have 3 wonderful daughters and 6 grand children. I work most of the summer months for my son-in-law, but we like to spend the winter months in Fort Meyers, Florida in our motorhome. We just purchased a new 43 ft. Diesel Bus Motorhome and it will probably be our last one.

After medical school graduation in 1970, I completed my internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. But most important I met and married Glenda, a native Houstonian.

One month after the wedding, we moved east for a one year fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The next 2 years I became a Major in the Army where my official title was Chief of Anesthesia and Operating Room Services at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. The reality . . . close to home and no gun fire.

My first real job was in Kansas City, Mo. New job, new home, new city, new baby boy made for a touch transition. Two years later with the birth of our daughter, I accepted a job in Houston, TX to be near Glenda’s family. Twenty-nine years later I am still at the Methodist Hospital.

Glenda and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary on April. May ’08 we had our first grandchild. I probably spend too much time at work. In my free time I like to play golf, swim or play bridge. I am looking forward to the reunion.

Married in 1967 while in Grad School (UL Kent School of Social Work). Lived in Minot ND while John was in the Air Force 1970-73.

First daughter, Carey, born in Minot ’71. Moved to Nashville, TN where John completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering. Second daughter, Chrissy was born there in ’74. Moved to Westerville, OH in 1976 where John worked for Ashland Chemical Company.

I stayed home with the girls until 1979, when I began teaching preschool. I still work at OurDay Preschool as Program Coordinator. We have three grandchildren and our daughters live close.

I have always felt that Seneca gave me an excellent education. All those term papers, diagramming sentences, and pages of solving mathematical problems all paid off.

John and I like to take short trips at Bed and Breakfasts, read and enjoy our grandkids and family.

Medical/Surgical sales in Harrisburg, PA, having married my high school sweetheart (Linda Smith class of ’64). We moved to Cincinnati, OH, in 1971.

I have two children (Amy and Tim) who live in Cincinnati also.

I retired from Johnson and Johnson last July and am currently kept busy with four grandchildren. Linda and I love to spend time on Norris Lake in Tennessee and are very active in our church.

After graduation, I attended UK and UK Dental School. After that, I went into the U.S. Navy at Virginia Beach. Following these three years, I attended the Medical College of VA – Orthodontic program. I have practiced Orthodontics in Frankfort since 1975 and have no plans on retiring.

I married Sally Schaaf in 1967 and we have 3 kids and 3 grandkids. We enjoy boating, biking, traveling and spending lots of time with our grandkids.

In 1967 I moved to San Francisco. Received a Ph.D. in economics from UC Berkeley, and taught there until I was recruited to reform the way that Medicare paid for hospital care. The system that I helped develop is still

used and has, with my assistance, been copied by almost all of the countries in Eastern and Western Europe and is rapidly spreading to Asia.

One of many nice things about working with people in other countries is you develop friends all around the world. Following my tenure with the US government, I had the privilege of working at Duke University on the development and application of fuzzy logic techniques. I started a company which was acquired by 3M (Scotch tape and Post-It notes)—where I work today.

My first wife died in 1996. I have remarried to a lovely woman from Bulgaria and (at this late stage in our lives) have a four year old daughter. We live in Annapolis, MD – on the Chesapeake Bay.

I graduated from the University of Louisville in 1967 and joined the U.S.

Army. Upon my honorable discharge in August, 1970, I started my banking career with the First National Bank of Louisville. I retired as Head of

International Dept of Cleveland based KeyBank in April 2000, only to accept a similar position as Head of International for Atlanta based SunTrust.

I greatly enjoyed my career which provided me the opportunity to promote International trade with emphasis on financing the export sales of US based clients. I traveled overseas and domestically quite often.

I retired for a second (and last!) time from SunTrust in April 2005 and chose to return then to Louisville which is my and my wife of 35 years’ hometown. Helen and I have two children, Marcie, 32, and Jeffrey, 27.

After graduation I spent a couple of years in college then enlisted in the

Army 02/65. Then went to UK and graduated with a major in TV production. Went to South Carolina and worked in TV for 2 years and migrated to Atlanta, GA in 1977. Worked at BellSouth until 2002. Got laid off and now work in security for Kimberly-Clark (the Kleenex people).

I started living with Melinda (Lyndey) Shelby in 1971 and we finally got married in 1985. She is a social worker who graduated from Waggener and got her BA and Masters in social work from U of Georgia.

One of my memories from school is trying to catch Don Waddell as he ran down the field ahead of me for a touchdown in football practice.

The same year I married Nancy Smith from Boston, Kentucky and was drafted into the military, serving as an Air Force fighter pilot. I retired as a Colonel after 28 years of service and returned to Louisville to become a minister at Southeast Christian Church. Nancy and I have three children, Don, David, and Dawn and four grandchildren who live in Tallahassee. My fondest memory of Seneca is an 8-2 football season our senior year. Passions include golf, teaching the Bible, and grandkids.
