After my BA (Emory) and MA (UW Madison) in English, I married Dick in 1968. Dick completed his PhD in Resource Management at UW and, after working in Environmental Control in Chicago, was first a professor at SPEA at IU, and then Engineering Professor at UT San Antonio since 1976.
I taught English at UTSA, and in middle school, completed my MA in Education and my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), have been a high school guidance counselor since 1996 at a very diverse Roosevelt HS, and counselor for our Engineering and Technologies Academy.
We have two wonderful daughters and four fine grandchildren. Beth is with Hewlett Packard (Stanford BS, MS Engineering) and Kathy a biology mentor teacher (MIT BS Biology, U Mass., MA).
A
volunteer and board member for CAMP, serving children with disabilities, since
1988, I am committed to my counseling, my organic gardening, and our children
and grandchildren.
