After graduating from Ohio University with a degree in Elementary Education, I taught in Cincinnati, Ohio for two years. My allergies became increasingly worse, so I moved out to Arizona for relief and a change in lifestyle.
I wound up working as an accountant for a couple of different companies, so I eventually returned to college to take accounting courses and sat for the CPA exam.
In the meanwhile, I married a Phoenix native and moved to the suburb of Tempe, AZ. My husband and I have hiked and biked for many years until recently, due to my degenerative spinal problems.
In
1980 and 2000, we toured China with my husband’s adoptive Chinese family. I am
currently working part time for a nonprofit and my husband is retired. Our
children are two parrots named Miki and PeeWee who we love very much.
