I graduated from Smith College in 1967, worked in DC, married Bob Adler, graduated from American University Law School, and clerked for a judge in DC.
In 1978-79, Bob and I spent 8 months circling the globe (bluejeans & backpacks-style), traveling through New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
Our son Paul was born in 1981 and is now a Ph.D. student at Georgetown University in DC.
In 1987, we moved to Chapel Hill, NC, where I am an attorney for the city, and Bob, also an attorney, is a professor of ethics and negotiation at the UNC School of business.
I’m
involved in various civic activities and Bob has been on the board of Consumer
Reports for many years. Neither of us is ready to retire yet….
