After high school, I attended Western College for Women (Oxford, Ohio). After graduating college with a BA, I married and moved to Washington, D.C. where my husband went to Law School and I taught junior high school.

Four years later, we moved to Philadelphia where I started a family and became a stay at home mom. Three years later, we moved to Atlanta. Several years later I went to law school, graduated in 1981, and then started a law practice.

Soon thereafter, my marriage dissolved. I have three children, Derrick, Dawn (deceased), and Brandon. I raised my sons as a single parent.

In 1994 I married my wonderful husband, Bob Lederman. My sons live in Atlanta and I see them and my lovely granddaughters Ella and Avery regularly. I spend leisure time baby sitting, reading, traveling, cooking, walking, hiking, volunteering for non-profit organizations, and taking classes to learn new things.

After high school, I attended WKU for 2 years. I married Dave Grant (Seneca class of 61) and returned to Louisville. I finished college at UofL with a degree in math & psychology. I taught one year at Thomas Jefferson High School in Louisville, then left to raise 3 kids.

I returned to the work force as a computer consultant for mini-Max Information Systems (my husband’s company). I am still working in the information technology field. I hope to retire one day!!!

My son, Craig (39) is a financial analyst and lives in Louisville. Another son, Chris (37) teaches Civil Engineering at Embry Riddle College in Daytona Beach. He has 3 boys. My daughter, Carrie, (33) is a software engineer living in Melbourne Florida. She has 1 son. All of our spare time is spent visiting grandkids in Florida.

Have been married almost 40 years and have 3 super sons and 3 super daughters-in-law. So far we have been blessed with 5 even better Grandpeople.

Have lived most of the time in Louisville except for 5 years in Atlanta. Have spent most of my working life involved with the underground mining and tunneling business in lots of strange spots in the world. Doubt if I ever really retire --- I like what I do and it's good mental stimulation.

Have been involved with our church and new mission work over the years.

Started running a bunch of years ago and still run pretty much every day, though the personal bests have become personal worsts. I ran (and completed) nine marathons. Still would like to run one more in my 60's but don't know if the knees will allow. Keep trying to get the golf handicap into the elusive single digits.

We're trying to visit as many wine regions as we can. Lots of blessings, joy, and peace in my life!!

Vance and I were "high school sweethearts." This year we have been married 40 years.

Our daughter, Amy was born in 1972. Our son, Alex, was born 5/5/77, exactly 17 years after we started going steady—the first time.

Unlike the national average, we have lived in only 3 homes. Currently 22 years in the same home.

We have been self-employed since 1982—first with a bicycle/moped/hobby shop. The last 21 years we have had a hardware store--Vance's True Value (a little plug there) currently here in Prospect.

We have 4 granddaughters. Two are "inherited" through marriage and Amy & her husband have identical twin girls what are 2-1/2--ask me, I have pictures.

Graduated from Hanover College in 1967& from Graduate School at Indiana University in 1968. I then taught Physical Education and coached football & baseball at Dean Junior College the following year.

I enlisted into the Army in 1969. Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant, Field Artillery in 1970, I served the next year in Vietnam. I met Barbara at Fort Knox, and we were married in 1973. While in the service, we were stationed in 6 different states & spent 3 years in Germany. I retired from the service in 1991 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

I worked a couple of corporate jobs before going back into teaching-high school level. I retired from teaching in 2007. We have 2 sons and 2 granddaughters. I enjoy gardening, sports, crafts, and riding my TRIKKE (see <www.trikke.com>)

Biography: Played basketball at UGA; Co-captain my Sr. Year; Served two years in the Army including a year in Viet Nam as a platoon leader of a mechanized infantry unit. In 1969,I started an insurance career in Atlanta. With the exception of five years in Dallas, I have lived in the Atlanta area; I am employed by Travelers where I have responsibilities for all golf related business (golf courses, professional golf tournaments—PGA Tour, LPGA & Champions Tour—as well as several other national programs such as the Girl Scouts. I have one daughter,Tyler Leigh, who lives in Alpharetta, GA. At home, my kids are now two Cavalier King Charles puppies—Maxine and her son Murphy. When I am not traveling on business and I’m not in Atlanta, I can usually be found at my place on Hilton Head Island. Immediately following College (Western Kentucky), I volunteered for the

United States Army and served in the Signal Corps for the 25th Infantry Division in the Republic of Vietnam. Upon my return to the United States, I began a career in the Insurance Industry that spanned 32 years. I retired 7 years ago at the age of 55. I have two children (Heather and Drew) from my marriage to Janice Carter (Class of 1964). Heather, Drew, and Janice have all made their Journey to Heaven.

I enjoy a comfortable and uncomplicated lifestyle and my favorite pastime is playing golf. My most cherished memories of Seneca are the friend-ships that I made with Classmates, Coaches and Teachers. Of course, who can ever forget our journey to the Kentucky State Championship on March 16, 1963.

I went east to college and never returned to Louisville, except for periodic vacations to visit family.

I have been married to the same woman for 40 years, worked at the same law firm for 37 years, and lived in the same house for 34 years.

Obviously, I have been very stable or very boring, or both! One of our daughters (Deborah) lives in Washington and is a public interest lawyer. The other (Julia) lives in New York and is a publicist at Penguin-Putnam.

Phyllis and I love to spend time on the eastern shore of Maryland, and we also spend a month in New York City every year.

My athletic ability is just as mediocre as it was in high school, and is now limited primarily to golf (still not as good as Jon) and running. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

After finishing at U.K., I worked for 2 years at Appliance Park as an assistant purchasing agent. Then, in ’69 I married my husband, David, and moved to Ft.Thomas, KY. I’ve worked in the family business(es) over the years combining job and family as we have 3 wonderful children – Todd,
Megan, and Natalie and now 8 grands (all under 7). We’re fortunate that they all live within 3 miles and I see them nearly every day as baby-sitting has become by second full time job. I love it.
My passions other than family are golf and traveling. It’s been a great 45 years!

After attending law school at the University of Pennsylvania I returned to Louisville where I have practiced law since 1970. My oldest child, Daniel, is a teacher, married to a teacher, and they live in Massillon, Ohio, with their four children. My youngest child, Jeffrey, is a lawyer, married to a doctor, and they live in Allentown, Pennsylvania with their two children. I continue to have an active practice in law, and Kim and I spend a consi-derable amount of time traveling to be with grandchildren and traveling for pleasure. We are also active in numerous organizations, political or otherwise in Kentucky, and I continue to enjoy participation in sports, particularly racquetball and golf.

I graduated from Centre College in 1967 and returned to Seneca, along with several other classmates, to teach English. Three years later, I quit teaching to begin my family. I have two children, Shelley '71 and Grant '75, and they each have two children. After 12 years of being a "stay-at-home" mom, I returned to teaching English in Oldham County and retired last year from South Oldham High School. My husband, Peter, owned and operated convalescent centers and is now semi-retired as a health care consultant. We spend our time boating on Kentucky Lake, doing lots of yard work, and enjoying our grandchildren.
