Biography: Played basketball at UGA; Co-captain my Sr. Year; Served two years in the Army including a year in Viet Nam as a platoon leader of a mechanized infantry unit. In 1969,I started an insurance career in Atlanta. With the exception of five years in Dallas, I have lived in the Atlanta area; I am employed by Travelers where I have responsibilities for all golf related business (golf courses, professional golf tournaments—PGA Tour, LPGA & Champions Tour—as well as several other national programs such as the Girl Scouts. I have one daughter,Tyler Leigh, who lives in Alpharetta, GA. At home, my kids are now two Cavalier King Charles puppies—Maxine and her son Murphy. When I am not traveling on business and I’m not in Atlanta, I can usually be found at my place on Hilton Head Island. Secondary hobbies include golf and tennis, but my primary hobby is UGA sports where I have only missed one home or away football game (to attend our last reunion) since 1979. GO DAWGS!
