I graduated from the University of Memphis (1967) with a BS degree in
Psychology. A year later I married Jim Daniel four months before he served as 2nd Lt (Army) on a tour in Vietnam.
My early career was as a “stay-at-home mom” for 17 years where I did PTA and church work as well as develop a “love” for the game of tennis….
I re-entered the full-time work force when my son, Mark (now 37), entered the School of Architecture at GA Tech. He now owns his own
Furniture Design Firm in Chicago (Slatedesign), and is also an in-house
designer for Crate & Barrell. My son, Ryan (now 34), was a Marketing Graduate of UGA and currently is a Financial Rep. for BMW.
Jim and I have 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and a new granddaughter expected 7/15/08!
I am currently the Executive Assistant to the President/CEO of Southern Insurance Underwriters and plan to retire in a few years to join Jim who is semi-retired after many years in industrial sales. We aspire to retire on a lake near the foothills of the North GA Mountains.
I have lived in 6 states, love to travel and garden, but playing tennis is my passion!
